Ground beef hamburger dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 3/4 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 (10 ounce) can beef soup with beans
- 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into strips
- Onion rolls
Directions
- Mix together the beef, egg, ketchup, breadcrumbs, nutmeg, onion and salt and pepper to taste. Form into 4 patties.
- Cook in a skillet over medium heat for four minutes per side. Remove.
- Mix together the soup, 2/3 cup water, thyme and bell peppers in the same skillet, stirring to mix. Add the patties back in, cover and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spoon onto the onion rolls to serve.
