This drink is great on a cold afternoon in fall or winter. For a nice touch, add 1 cinnamon stick to each cup before serving.
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 3 lemons
- 6 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- In a large, heavy pot add cinnamon sticks, cloves, grated lemon rind and cider.
- Simmer (not boil) for several hours.
- Add sliced lemons just before serving.
