Homemade French Fried Potatoes? Yum! Pass the ketchup.
- 2 pounds baking potatoes
- vegetable oil for frying
- Fill large skillet or deep fat fryer one third full with vegetable oil. Slowly heat oil to 375 degrees F.
- Meanwhile peel potatoes and cut lengthwise into quarters. Fry potatoes, a single layer at a time, in hot oil about 10 minutes, or until golden brown and tender. Drain on paper towels.
