A classic chili, slow cooked to perfection. Set it in the morning and let dinner cook while you relax.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean beef chili meat
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • 2-1/2 cups tomato juice
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney or pinto beans

Directions

  1. Mix everything but the beans together in a greased slow cooker. Cook covered for 7-9 hours on low.
  2. Stir in the beans, and cook for 30 more minutes.
