Juicing your own ripe tomatoes for this homemade Blood Mary mix recipe is of course the ideal, however, if you are short on time by some good-quality canned tomato juice instead.
Ingredients
- 1 46-ounce can tomato juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 small avocado
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1-1/2 ounces lemon juice
- 1-1/2 tablespoons steak sauce
- 2 teaspoons cracked pepper
- 1-1/2 teaspoons celery salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon horseradish
Directions
- Place the garlic, avocado, and eight ounces of the tomato juice into a blender and process until the mixture is smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a pitcher and add the remaining tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, steak sauce, pepper, celery salt, hot sauce and horseradish. Stir the mixture until well-combined and then place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours to allow flavors to blend.
