Holiday Candy

Sugar and pecan, fluffy candy treats.


  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped


  1. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until dissolved. Mix in the syrup and cook to hard ball stage.
  2. Pour the syrup mixture into the egg whites. Mix until light and fluffy and holds it shape. Mix in the vanilla and nuts.
  3. Drop by spoon onto waxed paper.
