Forget the bun. Hamburger Soup is hearty and filling on a cold winter's day.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- salt and pepper
- 1/3 cup brandy
- 4 stalks celery, diced
- 5 medium potatoes, diced
- 5 carrots, diced
- 1 large can stewed tomatoes
Directions
- Saute meat till tender, not brown with 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Add onion, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Fill soup pot with water. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 3 hours.
