Do not muddle the mint for this cocktail. It is meant to add only a hint of aromatic flavor and not to overwhelm it.

- 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1 dash absinthe
- 1-1/2 ounces gin
- 2 fresh mint sprigs
- olive to garnish
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the olive, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Slowly stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish the drink with the olive and then serve immediately.
