Yummy cookie sandwiches!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3/4 cup dry cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Filling:
  • 1 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 jar marshmallow creme

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease cookie sheets.
  2. Sift the flour, sugars, baking soda, cocoa and salt together. Beat in the shortening, milk and egg. Mix in the vanilla.
  3. Drop by the spoonful onto the baking sheets and bake for 8 minutes.
  4. While the cookies are cooling, mix all the filling ingredients together until smooth. Sandwich two cookies together using the filling.
