Simple ham hock and sweet potato dinner.


  • 4 pounds ham hocks
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 sweet potatoes, quartered


  1. Place the ham hocks in a pot and cover with water. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Cover and simmer until the meat begins to separate from the bone.
  2. Toss in the sweet potatoes and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.
