Simple ham hock and sweet potato dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 pounds ham hocks
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 sweet potatoes, quartered
Directions
- Place the ham hocks in a pot and cover with water. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Cover and simmer until the meat begins to separate from the bone.
- Toss in the sweet potatoes and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until tender.
