- 3 cups boiling water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1-1/4 cups freshly squeezed lime juice
- 6 ounces dark rum
- Place the boiling water and sugar in pitcher and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Place the pitcher in the refrigerator until chilled, and then add the lime juice and stir to combine.
- Pour the limeade into 4 glasses filled with ice and then top with the rum.
