Grits Gruyere will be a hit at the brunch or serve as a side dish at your next dinner party.
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 cup grits
- Topping: 16 ounces Gruyere cheese, shredded
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Bring milk and butter to boil; add grits and stir until thick, about 5 minutes. Pour into a greased casserole and let sit for 5 minutes. Poke with a fork to let topping seep in.
- Make topping: Sprinkle Gruyere over grits. Pour melted butter over cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
