This side dish serves well at backyard barbecues and is easy to prepare.
- 2 pounds green beans, trimmed
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cook green beans in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Drain, then run under cold water and drain again.
- Toss green beans into a large bowl and toss with olive oil and chives. Season with salt.
