Green Beans and Chives

This side dish serves well at backyard barbecues and is easy to prepare. 


  • 2 pounds green beans, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Cook green beans in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Drain, then run under cold water and drain again.
  2. Toss green beans into a large bowl and toss with olive oil and chives. Season with salt.
