Lightly breaded fried catfish fillet dinner.


  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6-8 (4-8 ounce) catfish fillets
  • Canola oil


  1. Beat the eggs until foamy. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder and a little salt.
  2. Dip the fish in the eggs and then in the cornmeal mixture, until well coated.
  3. Add 1/4-inch of oil to a skillet and fry the fish over medium-high heat. Cook until the fish easily flakes, or about 4 minutes per side.
