The orange glaze gives these carrots a sweet taste.
Ingredients
- 3 carrots, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened orange juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened orange juice
- 1/4 teaspoon grated orange rind
- 1/8 teaspoon ground mace
Directions
- Combine carrots and 3 tablespoons orange juice in a 1 quart casserole dish.
- Cover iwth casserole lid and microwave at high for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Stir every 2 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch, 3 tablespoons orange juice, orange rind and mace in a bowl.
- Stir until mix well.
- Stir into carrot mixture.
- Mix well.
- Cover and microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Stir after 30 seconds.
