This simple side dish is made with crisp sugar snap peas glazed in a slightly sweet and zesty peach preserve, ginger and butter sauce. Serve as a colorful side to grilled fish or seafood.


  • 3 cups fresh sugar snap peas, stringed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon peach preserves
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Dash ground ginger
  • Dash black pepper


  1. Place about 1/2-inch of salted water into a saucepan, add the peas and bring to a boil. Cook the peas for 3 minutes and then drain well; set aside.
  2. Place the butter into the pan along with the peach preserves, soy sauce, ginger, and pepper. Stir the mixture well to blend and then add the cooked snap peas. Toss the peas to coat and then serve immediately.
