Homemade gingersnap cookie recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix together the butter, sugar, flour, salt, and spices. Stir in the egg, water and molasses. Beat until the batter becomes stiff. Roll out and punch cookies out with a cutter.
  3. Bake on ungreased sheets for about 10 minutes.
