This recipe for a Gin Julep Cocktail was adapted from the Old Mr. Boston Official Bartenders Guide. Enjoy its invigorating clean and crisp taste.
- 3 ounces Dry Gin
- 12 fresh mint sprigs
- 2 heaping tablespoons confectioner’s sugar
- Hot water
- Shaved ice
- Place the mint leaves and the confectioner's sugar in the bottom of a cocktail glass, and then add a dash of hot water.
- Muddle the mixture well and then fill the glass with shaved ice. Pour in the gin and place the cocktail in the refrigerator for 35 minutes to chill. Garnish with sprigs of mint dusted with powdered sugar prior to serving.
