The crisp and fresh-tasting Gimlet, although served interchangeably with gin or vodka, must be made with Rose’s lime juice otherwise it loses its authenticity.

Ingredients

2 ounces gin or vodka
1/4 ounce Rose’s lime juice
Wedge of lime to garnish

Directions

Place a martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
Pour the gin and lime juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and shake vigorously for 25 seconds.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and garnish with the lime wedge; serve immediately.
