German Raspberry Soup is flavored with cinnamon and served cold.


  • 4, 10 1/2 ounce packages frozen raspberries, thawed
  • 2 cups port wine
  • 4 medium cinnamon sticks
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water


  1. In large saucepan over medium heat, heat raspberries, wine and cinnamon sticks to boiling; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. In measuring cup, mix cornstarch and water. Slowly add to simmering mixture. Remove from heat; refrigerate until well chilled. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.
