German Raspberry Soup is flavored with cinnamon and served cold.
- 4, 10 1/2 ounce packages frozen raspberries, thawed
- 2 cups port wine
- 4 medium cinnamon sticks
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- In large saucepan over medium heat, heat raspberries, wine and cinnamon sticks to boiling; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In measuring cup, mix cornstarch and water. Slowly add to simmering mixture. Remove from heat; refrigerate until well chilled. Remove cinnamon sticks before serving.
