This cocktail was named after the famous actress whose first words ever said on screen were, “Gimme a whiskey, ginger ale on the side, and don’t be stingy, baby.”
Ingredients
- 1 ounce brandy
- 1/4 ounce fresh orange juice
- 1/4 ounce grenadine
- 1/4 ounce dry vermouth
- Dash of crème de menthe
- Dash of port wine
Directions
- Place a martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Pour the brandy, orange juice, grenadine, vermouth, and crème de menthe into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake the mixture for about 35 seconds and then strain into the prepared glass. Slowly pour the port over the back of a spoon and into the glass so it floats on top; serve immediately.
