Irish whiskey, sweet vermouth and allspice liqueur give this cocktail its spicy flavor, while a fresh egg provides smooth body and enjoyable foam.
Ingredients
- 1-1/4 ounces Irish whiskey
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- 1 teaspoon allspice liqueur
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 1 egg
- ground nutmeg to garnish
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds to combine.
- Fill the shaker with ice and then vigorously shake for an additional 30 seconds.
- Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass and then garnish with the ground nutmeg; serve immediately.
