Irish whiskey, sweet vermouth and allspice liqueur give this cocktail its spicy flavor, while a fresh egg provides smooth body and enjoyable foam.


  • 1-1/4 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 1 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 1 teaspoon allspice liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • ground nutmeg to garnish


  1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds to combine.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and then vigorously shake for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass and then garnish with the ground nutmeg; serve immediately.
