Fruit cocktail mixed cake with a warm brown sugar top.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 (19 ounce) can fruit cocktail
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cake Topping:
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13-inch cake pan.
  2. Mix together all the cake ingredients. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Cool.
  3. Combine all the topping ingredients in a saucepan and heat on low for 5 minutes. Pour over the cooled cake.
