Frosted Pineapple Cake has a cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 stick margarine, softened
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1-3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
Directions
- Combine first 5 ingredients with 1/2 cup nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a bowl, mixing well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
- Combine 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup nuts and remaining ingredients in bowl, mixing well. Spread on hot cake.
