Frosted Pineapple Cake has a cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1 (15 1/2 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 stick margarine, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1-3/4 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients with 1/2 cup nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a bowl, mixing well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
  3. Combine 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/2 cup nuts and remaining ingredients in bowl, mixing well. Spread on hot cake.
