Deep fried tomato slices.

Ingredients

  • 3 tomatoes, firm or unripened
  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon flour

Directions

  1. Thickly slice tomatoes crosswise.
  2. Mix together the dry ingredients. Dip the tomatoes in the dry mixture until well coated.
  3. Fry in hot fat until golden brown.
