Fried Squash

Fried white squash, perfect appetizer or side dish.


  • 3 large white squash
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups buttered bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Peel the squash, slice thin. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Beat the eggs and milk together, dip the squash slices in mixture and then roll in bread crumbs. Dip in the milk and then roll in the bread crumbs again.
  3. Fry in hot grease until brown, approximately 5 minutes.
