Fried Peaches and Ice Cream

Sweetened and fried peach halves with ice cream.


  • 2 large peaches, firm and not too ripe
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Ice cream


  1. Peel and halve the peaches. Place cut side down in a skillet with the butter. Cook until the edges are brown. Turn and sprinkle the cut side with half of the sugar. Continue cooking until brown. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Reduce heat to low and cook until the sugar has slightly carmelized. Turn once to coat.
  2. Serve with the ice cream.
