Home style fried cabbage dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper

Directions

  1. Chop the cabbage into 8 wedges. Cover with water and add 1 teaspoon of the salt and 1 tablespoon of the butter. Boil for 5-7 minutes. Drain.
  2. Beat the eggs and 4 tablespoons of the milk together.
  3. Mix together the flour, pepper and remaining salt in another bowl.
  4. Dip the cabbage in the egg and then coat with the flour.
  5. Deep fry (or pan fry) in the bacon drippings.
