Home style fried cabbage dish.
Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
Directions
- Chop the cabbage into 8 wedges. Cover with water and add 1 teaspoon of the salt and 1 tablespoon of the butter. Boil for 5-7 minutes. Drain.
- Beat the eggs and 4 tablespoons of the milk together.
- Mix together the flour, pepper and remaining salt in another bowl.
- Dip the cabbage in the egg and then coat with the flour.
- Deep fry (or pan fry) in the bacon drippings.
