This pesto can be enjoyed tossed with fresh, hot pasta, or used as a base sauce for spinach and basil pesto pizza.
- 1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup packed fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- Place all of the ingredients into a food processor and process until the mixture is smooth. Use immediately.
