French Toast Flip Cocktail

The sweet and comforting taste of French toast is captured in this creamy and satisfying sherry-based flip sweetened with maple syrup and topped with a dusting of freshly grated cinnamon. 


  • 1 ounce sherry
  • 1/2 ounce apple brandy
  • 1/2 ounce malt whisky
  • 1/4 ounce allspice dram
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
  • 1/2 ounce maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • Freshly grated cinnamon


  1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker and vigorously dry shake the mixture for 40 seconds to combine.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and then vigorously shake the mixture for an additional 30 seconds; strain into a cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish the drink with freshly grated cinnamon and serve immediately.
