The sweet and comforting taste of French toast is captured in this creamy and satisfying sherry-based flip sweetened with maple syrup and topped with a dusting of freshly grated cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce sherry
- 1/2 ounce apple brandy
- 1/2 ounce malt whisky
- 1/4 ounce allspice dram
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- 1/2 ounce maple syrup
- 1 egg
- Freshly grated cinnamon
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker and vigorously dry shake the mixture for 40 seconds to combine.
- Fill the shaker with ice and then vigorously shake the mixture for an additional 30 seconds; strain into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish the drink with freshly grated cinnamon and serve immediately.
