Sweet French Poufs are baked in muffin pans and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- Combine shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and egg in bowl, mixing well. Sift next 4 ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
- Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Dip immediately in melted butter and then in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
