There's is a bit of "oo la la" in these French Lemon Bars.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- pinch of grated lemon rind
Directions
- Cream butter with confectioner's sugar, add flour, mix with pastry blender. Pat into a 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
- Beat eggs, mix in sugar, flour and juice by hand. Add lemon rind. Pour over hot, baked crust and return to oven. Bake 20 minutes.
- Cool and dust with confectioner's sugar. Cut into squares.
