This French version of the classic Blood and Sand cocktail adds a touch of sophistication with the addition of Dubonnet Rouge and cognac.

Ingredients

  • This French version of the classic Blood and Sand cocktail adds a touch of sophistication with the addition of Dubonnet Rouge and cognac.
  • 3 ounces cognac
  • 1 ounce cherry liqueur
  • 3/4 ounce fresh orange juice
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • cocktail cherries and lemon twists

Directions

  1. Place 2 cocktail glasses in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
  2. Put all of the ingredients, except for the garnishes, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into the pre-chilled cocktail glasses.
  4. Garnish the drink with the cocktail cherries and lemon twists and then serve immediately.
