This martini is made with Fino, meaning ‘fine’ in Spanish, traditional sherry. It is considered the driest and palest of the sherries and is typically aged in barrels for at least 3 years.
- 2-1/2 ounces gin
- 1/4 ounce fino sherry
- twist of orange peel
- 6 ice cubes
- Place a martini glass into the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Put the gin and the fino sherry in a cocktail shaker, add the ice and stir or shake the mixture for 30 seconds until chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and garnish with a twist of orange peel; serve immediately.
