Seasoned fig cupcake recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried figs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Cover the figs with boiling water. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes. Drain and dry.
  2. Sift together all the dry ingredients. Cream together the sugar and shortening. Beat the eggs in.
  3. Alternately add in the flour and the milk. Fold in the figs.
  4. Fill each muffin tin 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
