Seasoned fig cupcake recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dried figs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
Directions
- Cover the figs with boiling water. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes. Drain and dry.
- Sift together all the dry ingredients. Cream together the sugar and shortening. Beat the eggs in.
- Alternately add in the flour and the milk. Fold in the figs.
- Fill each muffin tin 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
