Fake Steak is made with ground beef and flavored with bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Combine first ingredients in bowl, mixing well. Shape into balls. Wrap with bacon, securing with toothpicks. Brown on all sides in skillet. Pour off drippings.
  2. Combine remaining ingredients with 1/2 cup water in bowl, blending well. Pour over meat. Cook covered, over low heat until done or bake at 325 degrees F for 30 to 45 minutes.
