Fake Steak is made with ground beef and flavored with bacon.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions
- Combine first ingredients in bowl, mixing well. Shape into balls. Wrap with bacon, securing with toothpicks. Brown on all sides in skillet. Pour off drippings.
- Combine remaining ingredients with 1/2 cup water in bowl, blending well. Pour over meat. Cook covered, over low heat until done or bake at 325 degrees F for 30 to 45 minutes.
