Ingredients

  • 1 pink or red eating apple
  • Juice of 1/2 small lemon
  • .5oz butter
  • 3 tbsp demerara sugar
  • Generous pinch of Chinese five spice powder
  • 5.3oz Fage Total Greek Yogurt

Directions

  1. A mouth-watering, but easy-to-prepare dessert. The combination of apple, butter and sugar produce a toffee flavor, while the spices give the tasty twist. The fresh, creamy yoghurt topping is the perfect partner for sweet apples.
  2. Cut the apple, remove the core and divide into approx 8 wedges. Toss in the lemon juice.
  3. Place the butter and 2 tbsp of sugar with the five spice powder in a small pan. Heat gently until the butter melts.
  4. Add the apple pieces and cook for 4-5 minutes until the apple is coated and beginning to soften.
  5. Spoon into a heatproof serving dish and top with Fage Total Greek Yogurt.
  6. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar and place under a very hot grill or use a blowtorch to melt the sugar.
  7. Chill for about 1 hour before serving.
