Gin with a swish of vermouth, but enough to still call it an Extra-Dry Martini.


  • 1 1/2 ounces gin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry vermouth
  • 1-2 olives for garnish


  1. Add ice to a martini glass and allow to chill.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway full with ice. Pour the gin in and gently stir, do not shake, to chill the liquid.
  3. Dump the ice from the martini glass. Pour the vermouth in and stir around. Pour out the vermouth and strain the gin into the cup. Garnish with the olives.
