English Toffee is covered with chocolate and pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 small Hershey chocolate bars
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped

Directions

  1. Place first 4 ingredients in heavy pan and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Pour onto a buttered sheet pan.
  2. Lay chocolate bars on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle and press pecans over top. Let cool; break into pieces.
