English Toffee is covered with chocolate and pecans.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 pound butter
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 small Hershey chocolate bars
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
Directions
- Place first 4 ingredients in heavy pan and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Pour onto a buttered sheet pan.
- Lay chocolate bars on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle and press pecans over top. Let cool; break into pieces.
