Delicious bread perfect for a cold morning.
Ingredients
- 4 1/4 cups flour
- 1 cup wheat bran cereal
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon soda
- 2 cups milk
- cornmeal
Directions
- Combine 2 1/2 cups flour and next 5 ingredients in large bowl. Heat milk and 1/2 cup water in saucepan to 130 degrees F. Add to dry ingredients, beating well. Stir in enough remaining flour to make stiff batter.
- Sprinkle 2 greased 8 by 4 by 2 inch microwave loaf pans with cornmeal. Spoon in batter and sprinkle with additional cornmeal. Let rise, covered, in warm place for 45 minutes.
- Microwave each loaf separately on HIGH for 6 1/2 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes. Slice and toast to serve.
