Delicious bread perfect for a cold morning.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 cup wheat bran cereal
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 2 cups milk
  • cornmeal

Directions

  1. Combine 2 1/2 cups flour and next 5 ingredients in large bowl. Heat milk and 1/2 cup water in saucepan to 130 degrees F. Add to dry ingredients, beating well. Stir in enough remaining flour to make stiff batter.
  2. Sprinkle 2 greased 8 by 4 by 2 inch microwave loaf pans with cornmeal. Spoon in batter and sprinkle with additional cornmeal. Let rise, covered, in warm place for 45 minutes.
  3. Microwave each loaf separately on HIGH for 6 1/2 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes. Slice and toast to serve.
