El Diavolo Short Ribs are tender and flavored with mustard and horseradish.

Ingredients

  • 6 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish

Directions

  1. In large Dutch oven over medium heat in hot oil, brown short ribs well. Stir in remaining ingredients and 1 1/2 cups water.
  2. Cover pan and cook over low heat about 2 hours and 30 minutes or until ribs are fork tender. Remove ribs to heated platter; skim off fat from remaining gravy and pass gravy to serve over ribs.
