Egg Nog Pie is flavored with rum extract so everyone can enjoy a slice.


  • 1, 9 inch baked pastry shell
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups dairy egg nog
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoons rum extract
  • 1, 6 ounce vanilla pudding mix (not instant)


  1. Combine pudding mix, nutmeg and egg nog in a medium sauce pan. Mx well. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly over medium heat. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in rum extract. Cool thoroughly.
  2. Beat mixture until smooth. Whip whipping cream until soft peaks form. Fold in whipped cream. Sprinkle with extra nutmeg. Spoon mixture into pie shell. Chill 4 hours or until set.
