Easy Rum Cake is moist and full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix with pudding
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Sauce: 1 stick margarine
  • 1/4 cup rum
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Sprinkle nuts on the bottom of a greased Bundt pan. Beat remaining ingredients (except for sauce) for 6 minutes on medium speed. Pour over nuts in pan. Bake at 325 degrees F for 60 minutes. Prepare sauce 10 minutes before cake is done.
  2. Sauce; Bring all ingredients to a boil; stir constantly.
  3. Pour sauce over cake still in pan. Let sit until sauce is well absorbed, about 30 minutes. Invert onto a cake plate.
