A bowl of Italian Sausage Stew requires a loaf of crusty bread.
Ingredients
- 2-1/2 pounds Italian sausage cut in 2-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 8 stalks celery, cut in 1-inch pieces
- 8 potatoes, quartered
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2-1/2 cups canned tomatoes, mashed
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 onion, minced
Directions
- Brown sausage in oil. Remove from pan. Saute onions 3 minutes. Mix all ingredients together and cook 45 minutes or until celery and potatoes are tender.
