This beef stew not only tastes great, but it is easy to make as well.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
- 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
- 3 stalks celery, sliced
- 5 carrots, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup Guinness beer
Directions
- Coat beef cubes evenly in flour.
- Melt butter in a frying pan and brown coated beef cubes.
- Put beef in slow cooker, add all dry ingredients and stir. Then stir in lemon juice, beer, and water.
- Cover stew and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours, or on high for 5 to 6 hours. Serve this stew hot!
