If possible use Valencia oranges for the freshly squeezed orange juice in this cocktail. It has basically zero sourness and just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming.


  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce dry vermouth
  • 1 ounce fresh orange juice
  • 1 orange peel twist to garnish


  1. Pre-chill a cocktail glass by placing in the freezer for 5 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and then add the gin, dry vermouth and the orange juice.
  3. Vigorously shake the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with the orange peel twist and serve immediately.
