Drunken Meatballs

Here's an easy and delicious recipe for tiny meatballs in a heavy tomato sauce that your friends and family will love.


  • 3 pounds ground meat
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 14-ounces of ketchup
  • 1 beer (any kind will do)
  • 1/4 cup of water


  1. Combine all of the liquid ingredients in a large, heavy saucepan while combining the ingredients for the meatballs.
  2. Make the meatballs somewhat small, about the size of a golf ball. Keep sauce on medium heat and cook until meatballs are cooked thoroughly. I usually eat them over mashed potatoes or buttered egg noodles.
  3. Notes: I find it easier to put the 1/4 cup of water in the ketchup bottle and shake it up to ensure you get all of the ketchup.
