When actor Douglas Fairbanks was visiting Cuba he asked a bartender to name a cocktail after him. This is the recipe for the gin, apricot brandy and fresh lime juice concoction.
- 1-1/2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce apricot brandy
- 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
- Twist of lemon peel
- Place a martini glass in the freezer or 5 minutes to chill.
- Put the gin, apricot brandy and lime juice into a cocktail shaker and then fill with ice.
- Shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds and then strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and serve immediately.
