Use a spicier variety of bourbon whiskey for this deceptively strong mixed drink made with fresh lemon juice, Bénédictine, dark rum and an egg white.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 ounces bourbon
- 3/4 ounce fresh egg white
- 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 2 bar-spoons Bénédictine
- 1-1/2 bar-spoons sugar syrup
- 1/2 ounce dark rum
- Lemon twist to garnish
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the rum and lemon twist, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass filled with fresh ice.
- Float the rum on the top of the drink and then garnish with the lemon twist; serve immediately.
