Deluxe Mussels are served with a white wine flavored cream sauce.
- 4 dozen fresh mussels, cleaned and bearded
- 1/2 quart heavy cream
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoons shallots, chopped
- 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- Add all ingredients to saucepan and cover. Steam mussels until they open. Place mussels in a bowl on the half shell and reduce sauce until desired thickness. Pour sauce over mussels and serve.
